Born in Tehran.
Rooted in tradition.
Driven by possibility.

I was born in May 1994 in Tehran, Iran — the first grandchild on my mom’s side and surrounded by family love. My childhood was rich with traditions, and Nowruz quickly became my favorite. Growing up, I was lucky to have parents who invested in me, enrolling me in music and sports and sending me to one of Tehran’s top schools, Kherad. That’s where I began to see possibilities bigger than myself.

As a teenager, I became obsessed with animation and dreamed of working at Disney. That dream fueled a life-changing decision: migrating to the United States. After a long journey, I enrolled in the University of Houston’s Digital Media program (Go Coogs!) and immersed myself in every opportunity.

I eventually found my way to Disney through the Disney College Program, where I worked as a Photopass Photographer at Magic Kingdom — while studying full-time online. It was challenging, but it proved to me that big dreams are worth chasing.

After graduation, I pivoted from animation to media — the perfect place where creativity meets analytics. Over the past eight years, I’ve worked across four agencies, managing campaigns for brands like Six Flags, We Buy Ugly Houses, PODS, Moe’s, McAlister’s, Jamba, Elevance Health, and Great Day Improvements.

Media taught me how to blend numbers with storytelling — and how to use strategy to make creativity work harder.

Through my career, I’ve stayed deeply connected to my culture and community. I’ve supported local Iranian businesses, advocated for women’s and human rights, joined women-focused ERGs, and served as leader of the Graduate Women in Business organization during my MBA.

I’m also currently pursuing my MBA at Texas McCombs (Hook ‘Em), which continues to shape how I approach leadership, marketing, and impact.

Working in marketing, I noticed something missing: the MENA community. Too often, we were invisible in brand strategies. I knew it was time to change that.

That’s why I founded The Blooming Banoo — a platform to amplify MENA voices, connect brands with untapped audiences, and help businesses grow with authenticity.

The name comes from my roots: Moojan in Farsi means “the blossom of a daffodil,” and Banoo means “lady.” To me, The Blooming Banoo represents seasons of growth — planting seeds, nurturing them, and eventually blooming. It’s the same journey I’ve lived, and the same one I help brands create.
